Plainfield, NJ – October 4, 2018 -- The Plainfield Symphony Orchestra invites vendors to participate in the Holiday Boutique and Café as part of the 2018 “A Medley of Majestic Homes for the Holidays” House Tour on Saturday, December 1, 2018. The boutique and café will be housed in the duCret School of Art, 1030 Central Avenue, Plainfield, New Jersey.
“The semi-annual Holiday House Tour will launch PSO’s 100th anniversary in 2019,” said Peter Lomonaco, Plainfield Symphony Orchestra president. “We are committed to making the boutique a leading holiday shopping experience that will complement the tour and generate excitement for our centennial.”
Seven classic Plainfield residences will be decorated for the holidays and opened to the public for the tour, which begins at the duCret School of Art, an 1896 Georgian Revival mansion that formerly housed the Wardlaw Country Day School. An historic landmark, it is set on a five-acre campus in a wooded residential area adjacent to the Van Wyck Brooks Historic District.
The tour will begin with ticket purchase and check-in at the duCret School of Art, so all tour attendees will be onsite for the boutique and café. Tour hours are 10 am – 3 pm, with the boutique and café opening at 9 am. Admission to the boutique and café are included with tour tickets and can also be purchased separately for those who do not wish to purchase tickets for the tour.
