GETTING HERE

The Plainfield Symphony Orchestra performances are performed at the historic Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church.

Plainfield can be accessed via the NJ Transit Raritan Valley Line at both the Plainfield and the Netherwood stations, and it is also accessible directly from NYC via NJ Transit and Amtrak to Metropark, about a 20 minute ride from the venue.

DRESS CODE

​

Please dress comfortably and as you would to a symphony and to our after concert parties. Special events may suggest black tie attire.

Concerts

• People with disabilities are welcome at our performances and as members of the orchestra. Our performance venue at Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church has two accessible parking places near the entrance that are available on a first come, first served basis for those displaying official license plates or placards. The performance space is accessible for people with mobility impairments and wheelchairs. There are no stairs from the parking lot to the entrance level and there is a lift from the entrance level to the performance area that will accommodate one wheelchair at a time. There are accessible restrooms.

Programs

• We will make large-print performance programs available for audience members who need them. (Available on a first come, first served basis.) Please give us two  weeks notice if you request this accommodation.)

 

Assisted Listening Devices

• We will make Assisted Listening Devices available for audience members who need them. (Available on a first come, first served basis.) Please give us two weeks’ notice if you request this accommodation.

Service Animal

• Service Animals are welcome at our concerts. While inside the building, Service Animals must be tethered, harnessed or leashed. Please give us notice if you require seating accommodation for Service Animals who will accompany you. Comfort or support animals are not permitted in the lobby or performance space unless they are in a carrier under the seat of the owner and notice has been provided to us two weeks in advance. We reserve the right to deny permission for attendance of comfort or support animals.
